Online Advanced Personal Storytelling

Online Advanced Personal Storytelling

This six week class builds on all of the basic and intermediate skills students executed in their first storytelling class, as they continue to refine their own unique style. Based on each student’s individual needs, the instructor will give further story structure assignments or specific homework based on the student’s individual goals with a particular story. This class is not just for students who have completed the 8-week Personal Storytelling class, but for experienced storytellers who would benefit from the weekly homework deadlines of a master class.

  • I was worried before this class began about having to go and sit in a small room with others, considering how scientists were explaining that was exactly how the novel coronavirus was being spread, but before I could even bring my concerns to Amanda, she already had a solution and had moved our class online. I have now taken this class from her in person and online, and there is no difference from one forum to the other in the thoughtful, careful notes Amanda gives to the storytellers and the way she pushes each person to dig deep to find the truths and purposes in their tales.
