First of all, I love the word chunk. When I talk about animals or babies that are chunky, the ‘u’ is replaced by an ‘o’ and then it’s an even better word: chonky. Regardless of your pronunciation, it’s super important to find chunks (or chonks) of joy.
That’s why my Christmas tree is still up. Marie Kondo would approve, y’all. It’s bringing me joy.
Yesterday, I had a moment of elated victory when I bought a blender for $8 at a nearby thrift store. I already have a blender, but that blender is for soups and smoothies. I needed a blender to make paper. My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I already had all of the other paper-making supplies, and I didn’t want to get junk mail pulp in my smoothies, because I already get enough fiber in my diet. Making homemade paper is cool recycling, super useful, and most importantly, it brings me joy.
If you need to schedule in some joy, please check out my Saturday workshops at the Arts Center in Johns Creek.
