It’s March! I’m smack dab in the middle of the run of my solo show, 185 Buddhas Walk into a Bar. There are only four more performances left. Every single performance has a different opening act and I’m so happy that Janna Sobel is opening for me this Thursday. If you’ve wanted to come see this show, but haven’t yet, THIS is a fantastic week to check it out!
Janna Sobel is an actress, writer, improvisor and director, and she teaches such things to young and grown-up people at The Second City, University of Chicago Lab School, Mudlark Theater Company, and the Old Town School of Folk Music. She is also a storyteller and solo performer, co-founded & co-hosts the monthly storytelling show Here’s the Story, and is a company member of Real Talk Live.

185 Buddhas Walk into a Bar
The art of improvisation creates stories from thin air, making the unseen seen. For Amanda Rountree, this is not just an artform, but a way of life — one that includes unexpected twists and turns — leading, if not to mastery, to enlightenment. Written and performed by Amanda Rountree, and directed by Jen Ellison, this show follows the artist on her path with all of the funny and touching moments along the way.
