“NEW SHOW” is not only the title of this post.  It is the title of the word document folder on my computer that contains my next solo show.  I know–incredibly creative, right?  Of course, “NEW SHOW” is not going to be the actual title of the show.  But I haven’t come up with anything yet, so “NEW SHOW” remains in my computer.  It took me forever (seemingly) to title my other one-woman show.  When I finally thought of “The Good, the Bad, and the Monkey” it just felt right.  So hopefully, something equally as delightful will show itself later.

Until then, I’ll just keep workin’ on the show.  I’m excited about this one.  This year marks my twentieth anniversary performing improvisational theatre.  So my show is a mix of looking back and looking at right now.  There’s some embarrassing moments, grateful moments, philosophical moments, and more.  Lots of introspection, lots of feelings, lots of me facing my truth…..promising ingredients for a good show.

Another promising ingredient for a great show is having a fantastic director.  And I am happy to report that I have once again secured the talented, Jen Ellison as my director.  The writing has been completed (for the most part).  And rehearsals have begun!  So please look for my NEW SHOW to be making an appearance this winter, after the holidays!

Until then, I will be doing storytelling and other performance events where I’ll be trying out small sections of the show in front on an audience.  And one event is happening tomorrow night!  I’d love to see you there!
